Starting on a new trading platform is easier when you know the sensible order of steps. This guide walks through getting started on RumiEX from the very beginning: creating and securing your account, learning on the demo account, setting up your charts and a plan, and — when and if you're ready — how live deposits, identity verification and withdrawals work.
The guiding principle throughout is simple: secure first, practise second, risk real money last, and only if it is right for you.
Before you begin: is trading right for you?
Trading involves risk, and you can lose the money you trade with. Before opening a live account anywhere, it's worth being honest about three things:
- Money: only ever trade with money you can afford to lose entirely, without affecting essential spending, savings or debts.
- Time: learning to trade takes time and practice. A demo account lets you do that without financial risk.
- Rules where you live: some products and services are restricted in some countries. Check that using them is permitted where you live before trading with real money.
Step 1: create your account
Sign up with your email address and a password. RumiEX requires at least eight characters, but a longer, unique passphrase stored in a password manager is far stronger. Our guide to securing your trading account explains why uniqueness and length matter more than complexity.
Verify your email
You'll receive a verification link by email. Verifying your address confirms the account is yours and is required later for withdrawals. If the email doesn't arrive, check your spam folder or request a new link from the app.
Step 2: secure your account
Do this on day one, before you have anything to protect — it takes a few minutes.
- Turn on two-factor authentication (2FA) in your account security settings, using an authenticator app. Authenticator codes are generated on your phone using the TOTP standard (RFC 6238) and change every 30 seconds, so a stolen password alone can't open your account.
- Store your recovery information safely, offline, so that losing your phone doesn't lock you out.
- Review active sessions. Your account settings list every device signed in; sign out any you don't recognise.
- Bookmark the RumiEX site and always sign in through the bookmark or the app, never through a link in an email or message.
- Remember: RumiEX support will never ask for your password or one-time codes.
Step 3: start on the demo account
Every RumiEX account includes a demo wallet funded with virtual money. It uses the same live prices, charts and order tools as the live account. Use it to:
- Learn the platform without pressure.
- Practise placing every order type with a stop-loss and take-profit.
- Test a strategy in real time and build good habits.
The account switcher in the top bar shows whether you're on Demo or Live — always check it before placing a trade. Our demo account guide includes a four-week practice plan.
Step 4: set up your charts
Spend your first sessions learning the charting workspace:
- Pick one or two instruments from the instrument selector. You can see everything available on the markets page. Instruments marked OTC are quoted by RumiEX's own pricing engine and are available around the clock.
- Choose a timeframe that suits your schedule, with a higher one for context.
- Add one trend indicator and one momentum or volatility indicator, such as the 50-period moving average and ATR.
- Mark key levels with rectangles and lines, then lock them.
- Set price alerts at those levels.
The charting tools guide explains every tool in detail.
Step 5: learn the order types
RumiEX offers market, limit and stop orders, each with optional stop-loss and take-profit levels, plus Up/Down fixed-time trades. Learn how each behaves on demo:
- Order types on RumiEX — when to use market, limit and stop orders, and how pending orders and exits are triggered.
- Up/Down fixed-time trades explained — how they work, the break-even maths and the regulatory restrictions that apply to them in several countries.
Getting to know your account screens
Beyond the chart, a few screens are worth visiting in your first week:
- Trades and orders lists, beside the chart, show your open and closed trades and any pending orders. Check them at the start and end of every session.
- Trades page — a fuller history of your trading, useful as the starting point for your journal.
- Transactions page — every deposit, withdrawal and other movement on your wallets, with its status.
- Account page — profile, security settings (password, two-factor authentication, sessions), and identity verification.
- Market page — live prices for every instrument, where signed-in users can also keep a list of favourites.
- Tournaments — the schedule of upcoming and live trading tournaments, with their dates and prize pools.
Set personal limits from the start
The platform enforces its own limits on things like trade sizes and withdrawals, but the limits that protect you most are the ones you set yourself. Decide them before your first live trade and write them down:
- The total amount you are prepared to deposit, ever, while learning.
- The maximum you will risk on any single trade, as a percentage of your balance.
- A daily loss limit after which you stop trading for the day.
- The hours in which you will trade — and the hours in which you won't.
Our article on trading psychology and discipline explains why limits decided in advance work so much better than decisions made in the moment.
Display and accessibility settings
RumiEX supports light and dark themes. It opens in the dark theme, and you can switch to light with the theme toggle at any time. Accessibility settings let you increase text size, switch to a high-contrast mode and reduce motion. Your choices are remembered on your device, so the app opens the way you set it.
Step 6: write a simple plan
Before trading live, write a one-page plan: which markets, which timeframes, which setup, where stops go, how much you risk per trade and when you stop for the day. Our guide on how to write a trading plan includes a template, and our risk management guide shows how to size positions.
Then trade the plan on demo and keep a journal — see how to keep a trading journal.
Step 7: funding a live account (optional)
When — and only if — you decide to trade with real money, switch to your live account and open the deposit screen.
Deposit methods
You can choose between:
- Bank wire
- Credit or debit card
- Cryptocurrency
Each method has its own minimum and maximum amounts and any fees, which are shown before you confirm. Live deposits are reviewed and credited to your live wallet once confirmed. Deposits do not require identity verification.
Start small. Your first weeks of live trading are about reproducing your demo discipline under real conditions, not about profit.
Step 8: identity verification (before withdrawing)
To withdraw from your live account, you'll need:
- A verified email address (from step 1), and
- Approved identity verification (KYC). Upload your documents in Account → Verification. They are reviewed by the RumiEX team, and you'll be able to withdraw once they're approved.
Identity verification isn't needed to trade or deposit, but completing it early means you won't have to wait when you want to withdraw.
Step 9: withdrawals
When you request a withdrawal:
- Every withdrawal is reviewed manually before it is processed.
- A newly added payout destination — for example a new bank account — is held for 24 hours before it can be used. This protects you if someone else ever gains access to your account and tries to add their own destination.
- Limits apply according to your verification level and are shown when you request a withdrawal.
Step 10: get help when you need it
- Support tickets: open a ticket from the Support page, and the team will respond in the app.
- The blog: practical guides on education, strategy, crypto, technology, psychology and the platform.
If anyone contacts you claiming to be RumiEX and asks for codes, passwords or payments, it is not us — see crypto trading scams and risks.
What RumiEX doesn't offer
Knowing what a platform doesn't do is part of using it safely:
- No guaranteed returns. No trading platform can honestly promise profits, and RumiEX doesn't.
- No signals, managed accounts or "account managers" who trade on your behalf. Anyone offering these in RumiEX's name is not us.
- No financial advice. Our articles and guides are educational. Decisions about your money are yours.
Before your first live trade, ask yourself
- Have I followed my written plan on demo consistently, over a meaningful number of trades?
- Do I know exactly how much I am risking on this trade, in money and as a percentage of my balance?
- Is the stop-loss placed where my idea is wrong, not where the loss "feels" acceptable?
- Am I trading money I can genuinely afford to lose?
- Have I checked that this product is permitted where I live?
If any answer is "no", stay on demo a little longer. The market will still be there.
Your first-week checklist
| Day | Task |

- Depositing before practising.
- Trading too many markets at once.
- Placing orders without a stop-loss.
- Not checking whether the demo or live account is selected.
- Rushing into very short Up/Down trades without understanding the payout maths.
Key takeaways

- Learn on the demo wallet — same prices and tools, virtual money.
- Set up charts deliberately, learn each order type, and write a simple plan before going live.
- Deposits can be made by bank wire, card or crypto; identity verification is needed before withdrawing, and every withdrawal is reviewed manually.
- Trade only with money you can afford to lose, and only where it is permitted.

Frequently asked questions
Do I need to deposit money to use RumiEX?
No. Every account includes a demo wallet funded with virtual money, so you can use the charts and practise trading without depositing anything.
Is the demo account different from the live account?
Only in the money. The demo account uses the same live prices, charts, indicators and order tools as the live account, but its balance is virtual and cannot be withdrawn. Switch between the two with the account switcher in the top bar, and always check which one is selected before placing a trade.
Do I need to verify my identity to trade?
Identity verification (KYC) is not required to trade on demo or live accounts or to deposit. It is required before you can withdraw from your live account.
How do I deposit to my live account?
From the deposit screen, choose a payment method — bank wire, card or cryptocurrency — and an amount. The limits and fees for each method are shown before you confirm. Live deposits are reviewed and credited once confirmed.
How long do withdrawals take?
Withdrawals require a verified email address and approved identity verification, and every withdrawal is reviewed manually before it is processed. A newly added payout destination is held for 24 hours before it can be used, as a security measure.
How do I contact RumiEX support?
Open a ticket from the Support page in the app. Support will never ask for your password or one-time login codes.
